After trailing 4-0 in the 5 match ODI series against India on Indian soil (We all knew it was always tough to beet India in India, how much ever weak the Indian team is), England put India on the backfoot by taking 4 wickets for 148 runs with 17 overs to spare.
But yet not all is over for India with Dhoni and Raina still holding the guns and England can expect to chase a target of 260+ for sure.
Can England avoid a 5-0 white wash?

Cape Town: A burst of powerful hitting by Yusuf Pathan spurred India to a thrilling two-wicket win in the third one-day international against South Africa at Newlands on Tuesday.
Chasing a target of 221, India were struggling at 93 for five before Pathan launched a savage assault against South African off-spinners Johan Botha and JP Duminy.
On a pitch where most batsmen found it difficult to play positive strokes, Pathan, making his first appearance in the series, struck 59 off 50 balls as India took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
Pathan and Suresh Raina (37) put on 75 for the sixth wicket but both were out in quick succession to set up a tense finish.
Fast bowler Morne Morkel took three for 26 and fellow paceman Dale Steyn claimed two for 31 but could not stop India from getting home with ten balls to spare. Harbhajan Singh made a crucial 23 not out, including two sixes.
The match changed dramatically in the 28th over of the Indian innings when Pathan, on six, edged Botha for a four between wicketkeeper AB de Villiers and captain Graeme Smith at slip.
Pathan swept the next delivery and Lonwabo Tsotsobe, running in from the boundary to try to take a catch, misjudged the ball and it went for another four.
In the next over from Duminy, Pathan again swept in the air and Morkel also misjudged the ball in contemplating a catch and another boundary was the result.
Then Pathan struck three sixes off four balls from Botha, all sailing over a fielder at deep mid-wicket.
On an untypical Newlands pitch, South Africa struggled to 220 all out with newcomer Francois ‘Faf’ du Plessis and JP Duminy putting on 110 as they rescued a floundering innings.
Du Plessis made 60 and Duminy 52 on a pitch of inconsistent pace and bounce.
The pair came together with their side in trouble at 90 for four in the 24th over.
They put on 110 off 129 balls before Du Plessis slipped as he went down the wicket to attack Munaf Patel and sliced a catch to cover.
Du Plessis, 26, a former schoolboy teammate of De Villiers, who has been signed to play for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, made his runs off 78 balls.
He showed composure at the crease and the only sign of nerves came when he needed treatment for cramps in his forearm.
Du Plessis was out in the first over of the batting powerplay, which was taken in the 45th over, and as in the second international in Johannesburg, the lifting of fielding restrictions heralded a flurry of wickets.
Duminy was bowled in the next over and the innings folded rapidly, with the last six wickets falling for 20 runs.
Zaheer Khan, with three for 43, and Singh led a superb Indian bowling performance, which was backed up by good fielding.
Khan repeatedly beat South African captain Graeme Smith with swing and movement off the pitch, although Smith survived to make a laboured 43 off 79 balls before falling to Harbhajan’s off-spin.
Khan also took a spectacular diving catch in the outfield to dismiss De Villiers.
Harbhajan mesmerised the batsmen, taking two for 23 in nine overs, helped by two diving slip catches by Virat Kohli.

Cash hungry BCCI has ruled out the possibilities of winning 2 gold medals for India in this yearly Asian games.
“We would not be able to send our team, both men and women, for the Asian Games in China because of international commitments,” BCCI chief administrative officer Ratnakar Shetty said.
Cricket is more of entertainment now than a sports.
All these match fixing aligations (I guess it is true), these responses making me loose interest in cricket.
Why not Indian Olympic Association select a team and send it to Asian Games?
Let players choose wether they want to play for Team India or Team BCCI.
Hope sports win over BCCI.

With the likes of Muralidaran, Mendis, Malinga in the bowling attack and likes of Sangarkara, Jayawardane, Jayasuriya in the batting department, I do not see any reason why Sri Lanka can bring back the T20 title to the sub continent this time around.
Australia has the next best chance to win this world cup this year.
India is over confidend and they miss Sehwag badly ( Not sure why Sachin is not persuaded to play for the country in this format of the game) We miss you Sachin!!!
Newzealand is a dark horse and South africa as we know well will falter at the final stages for sure.
Enjoy cricket!!!

Cricket is a mind game which needs lot of physical strength.
Studies have shown that eating and drinking right can make a significant difference to how well you train and how much endurance you have on the pitch.
This leaves a question what is right and wrong to eat for a cricket player.
Eat every 3 hours. You should eat between 5-6 meals per day.
Eat complete lean protein with each meal.
Eat fruits and vegetables with each food meal.
Ensure that your carbohydrate intake comes from fruits and vegetables.
Your energy intake comes from fat should be around 25%,(e.g. animal fat, olive oil, flax oil, salmon oil).
Drink only non-calorie containing beverages, the best choices being water and green tea.
Eat mostly whole foods (except workout and post-workout drinks).
Food plays a very important role in one’s ability to play good cricket.

Almost Dhoni snatched the certain 200 from Sachin Tendulkar without giving much strike to the master blaster but the master Sachin never got distracted.
From India’s score of 350 by 43rd over to 400 by 50th over, Sachin can score just 5 runs. This never upset the little geneius Tendulkar which was evident from his actions and the calmness he show during this period and on completion of the marvelous feet.
Records tumbled on his way to the most desired score by any batsman in his lifetime. No one expected Tendulkar to score this. A responsible batsman with lots of expectations can never let down the country by playing a loose shot. There are few people who still cant agree Sachin the greatest and name few others as the best player of all times. But even those players can not accept this.
Although I am the greatest fan of Tendulkar, I expected a 200 by a Virendra Sehwag or Gibbs. But Sachin silently alerted all by scoring big centuries in one dayers as he had gone past the regular retirement age of his parallel players. At 37 most TV channels had started to suggest Sachin for taking retirememt.
Now the shameless Rajdeep’s and his friends have started to praise him for his double. They never knew that fans loved to see Tendulkar at crease even if he scored just 1 run.
We salute you Sachin.

With a well fought drawn series with South Africa at home, India has managed to stay on top of the ICC test rankings.
The top class Indian batsmen in Tendulkar, Sehwag, Laxman, Dravid proved beyond doubt that Indian batting is the best lineup in the world as of now.
Indian bowlers came back very well in the 2nd test to get rid of South African batsmen twice to give India the all important win.
Thank rain gods for the fear induced and uplifting the fighting spirits of Indian players.
Hats of to Amla for the well deserved Man of the series award.

The 175 run hurricane was the best ever ODI inningsI ever saw in the last 20 years I have been closely watching cricket.
In his 435th Match and 20th year of international cricet he looked as energetic as he was in his pre international debut games where he lofted abdul kadir for sixes in a benificial match.
With this knock, I believe all critics should shut there mouths and enjoy watching Tendulkar in apositive manner. They may get to watch a maximum of another 3 years of this genius and may be another 30-40 games.
Tendulkar may not make 20000 runs in ODIs but is sure to score another 5 centuries to take his tally beyond 50 ODI 100s.
We never had the opportnity to watch Kapil’s 175 but I guess even Kapil will agree that this is a better innings.
Even I was amazed to see that Tendulkar has averaged 53+ in 15 innings he has played in 2009 at a strike rate of 93 and he has the best strike rate against Australia by any batsmen who has scored more than 1000 runs against Australia.
Tendulkar’s 17000 runs are almost 20% of the total runs scored by India in these matches. This is the 2nd best behind Desmond Haynes.
He has scored a 50+ score for every 2.8 matches he has played.
He has the highest average for any opener who has scored more than 3000 runs. The only other Indian in the list being Ganguly. Gordon Greenidge who is second in the list has 45+ almost 3 runs behind.
Sachin, you are the best.
